UK phone numbers which begin with 014 are not free to call for EE customers. However the financial charge can be avoided if you have inclusive minutes from your contracted allowance or pay as you go bonus remaining.
Cost of calling 014 numbers on EE
014 numbers are only free of a monetary charge if you have inclusive minutes on your landline or mobile tariff remaining, however you will lose the number of minutes equivalent to the length of the call (unlike true freephone numbers such as 0800 and 0808). EE customers who hae run out of inclusive minutes will have to pay a per-minute charge plus an access fee which depends on which particular tariff you are registered on.
